I'm Lauren Kink — a freelance web designer holding a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, based in Southern Illinois. I launched LK Designs because I saw too many great small businesses stuck with outdated websites (or none at all) that didn't reflect the quality of what they actually do.
Every site I build is hand-coded from scratch in Adobe Dreamweaver using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No templates. No Wix. No page builders. Just clean, intentional code built the right way — because shortcuts show.
My graphic design background means I don't just think about how a site functions — I think about how it feels. Typography, color, layout, hierarchy. The details that make a visitor stay instead of bounce.
I'm based in Southern Illinois and work with clients nationwide. Location is never a barrier — everything is handled remotely from kickoff to launch day.
When I'm not building sites, you'll find me reading, cooking, or bedazzling something. I love fall, authentic Japanese matcha, and a good editorial fashion spread. I have a six-year-old cat named Mango who supervises all my work.
